Senior Consultant - Acoustical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Engineering/Technical - Responsibilities include developing acoustical criteria for different facility types as well as recommending appropriate solutions. Mechanical noise and vibration control, room acoustics, and sound isolation are areas the ideal candidate should be experienced with. During the construction phase, Senior Consultants review submittals and conduct site visits. They manage larger projects as their skill allows. They help train new consultants.
  • Marketing/Support - Senior consultants market to their contacts and follow up on their past projects. They assist in writing proposals to new and past contacts and review proposals to these individuals.

Qualifications

  • This position requires five to ten years of acoustical consulting experience.

During the construction phase, Consultants help review submittals. Consultants would not function as Project Managers.
  • Marketing/Support - Consultants would market to their past contacts, follow up on their past projects, and assist in writing proposals.

Qualifications

  • This is an entry level position. The ideal candidate is a new engineering graduate or someone with three to six years of drafting, sales, or design experience. Some knowledge of mechanical noise and vibration control, room acoustics, and sound isolation is helpful.
