| The International Communications Industries Association (ICIA) Board of Governors has announced that Steven J. Thorburn, PE, Principal, Thorburn Associates, Inc. has received the highest recognition by being appointed for a second two-year term as an ICIA Senior Academy Faculty member.
This is in recognition of his past instruction for ICIA and future participation in the educational programs provided by ICIA. They reviewed the many instructors who have taught for ICIA and have chosen Steve and a limited number of his peers for this honor. He and these select instructors have made ICIA training a valuable asset to the audiovisual industry and in recognition of his status, will publish his name on the Academy Directory, include him in the ICIA newsletter story on ICIA faculty, and list his name on the ICIA website.
Steven J. Thorburn, PE is a co-founder and Principal of Thorburn Associates, an Acoustical Consulting and Audiovisual System Design Engineering firm with offices in Castro Valley, and Burbank, CA and in Raleigh-Durham, NC. The firm typically works on corporate, residential, medical, live and cinema theatre, education, themed entertainment projects, and many other venues. Thorburn writes a leisure entertainment series for Systems Contractor News and has received several awards from ICIA for Systems and Facilities Design. |
