PAST PROJECTS

De Vargus School, Cupertino, CA

The Steinberg Group

Sound isolation recommendations for partitions between service yard, shipping/receiving area, and nearby offices.

Stevens Creek/Eisenhower/De Vargus/Regnart/Garden Gate Guided Learning Centers, Cupertino, CA

Cupertino School District

The Cupertino School District wanted to develop a series of classrooms where students can receive specialized instruction in math, science, and computer technology. The Guided Learning Centers contain one large multi-purpose stage/auditorium/community meeting room surrounded by math and science classrooms. The design challenge was to provide a space that would allow the multi-purpose room to function at the same time as the classrooms. The associated classrooms had glass window/walls looking into the auditorium. The acoustical room finishes for the domed ceiling were of particular concern to minimize the focusing of the active noise in the facility. The audio system design required that the system be easy to operate, rugged, and student proof.

Alameda High School, Alameda, CA

Historic Alameda Foundation

Recommendations for the acoustical design during the renovation of the auditorium.

Past projects are personal experience of TA principals.
