This was a renovation of an historical building in downtown Wilmington, NC (owned by the City of Wilmington) that is used as a Community Arts Center. The primary space in the building is a 72 feet X 47 feet, 3,500 square feet historic “dance hall” now containing a stage and flat floor with 150 seat temporary seating capacity. This facility has multiple uses including theatrical presentations and other community gatherings. Provided room acoustics and mechanical noise and vibration control for the primary theatrical space. |

| Dalgliesh, Eichman, Gilpin & Paxton, PC | The Madison County Courthouse is a Jeffersonian courtroom with a unique layout that posed challenges for the audiovisual design team. The jury box is located directly in front of the judge's bench facing into the room, and the witness stands at a podium facing the judge and jury, instead of the traditional placement to the judge's left. The final design solution was a large, fixed wall-mounted projection screen at one side of the room, and a wall-mounted video projector on the opposite wall, providing very good sightlines for judge, jury and counsel tables, and for most observers in the gallery. A 23-foot high ceiling prevented a more typical, ceiling-mounted, recessed motorized projection screen. The renovation is currently taking place and TA looks forward to seeing the finished results. |

| Knutson Project Management | Audiovisual design during the remodel of two main rooms located in an historic terra cotta high-rise. In the Auditorium (with raked seating for 500), a ceiling-mounted projector displays computer graphics and video, supported by a distributed sound system and an ADA hearing assistance system. Control systems include a touch panel on the podium, a wireless A/V panel, and remote lighting control. Inputs for a satellite feed allow the corporate television division to use this facility as a remote site for corporate activities. The second room, a divisible Conference Center (with multiple seating arrangements for 120), has front and rear projection which both utilize a glass presentation wall. A mirror system in the rear projection room compensates for limited space. The sound system uses wireless microphones and split audio for more effective control of speech and program signals. Audio inputs were added for panel discussions and roundtable meetings. |

The audiovisual systems in the courtrooms have speech reinforcement for all stations within the room; distributed loudspeakers; video and computer projection; an electronic whiteboard; printing of video stills; multiple monitors; and audio/video press feeds. |

The 200-seat theatre will be equipped with a Mega 8/70, a 35mm and a high resolution projection system. All three presentations will be shown on a 30' x 40' giant screen and viewed from stadium style seating. |
